some HD video of my last show. got some more coming. what y’all think of my new dancers?
one day i was talking to Low Leaf and i told her i thought she should do a cover of Complicated by Avril Lavigne. she scoffed at the idea. i said, yeah, Avril may be annoying or whatever, but the song is a perfect pop song and you should do a flip of it in your style. i couldn’t convince her so i said, f_ck it, i’m doing my own version of it. i played it out on the keyboard and recorded the vocals. it was pretty ridiculous but now i do it live cause its random as f_ck.
catch these two touring the west coast on some kalifornia shit, download all their stuff off the blog, get Gajah’s full length off of iTunes and get Nathaniel Eras’s LP from the HOMIES over at Track Number Records …. I love these dudes, they rip…. b.e.a.r. is the best.
your boy Huevos is still settling into his new place so his presence on the internet has been somewhat limited, shouts to all those i owe emails to. but in a quick slam-this-coffee-while-waiting-for-this-babe-to-wake-up moment i caught this on Mochipet’s blog. i was aware of this track (duh, i’m on it) but not its completion or the addition of Cadence Weapon!
basically, what we have here is a Mochipet beat featuring sick sick verses from myself, Spoek Mathambo (who cannot stop releasing projects, this guy is insane), Subtitle (who seems to be making up for lost time on his personal blog – dude been posting like a muhfucka), and CW.
check it —-> Four on the Floor
UPDATE: this track is on Subtitle’s new EP La Cita Strobe (details above) which i did not know until a moment ago. stoked!!! make sure you check out the record, especially for the track Leggings, produced by MusSck. its an instant classic.

o folks…
snow is here and so is new muzak for you to bump, as always. we have a couple of christmas treats and
surprises for all sorts of people but tuesday is new release day and we have 2:
1. Gajah- Missleaneous
the record is a banger. the dude is the missing link between rappers who battle accapell-o style and producers who do shows full of instrumentals better left on a beat tape. he is a style monster and I think he is singlehandedly advancing the whole symbiosis of emcees rhyming over the new style of production that is dope fiending the market as of late. if you liked his mix, then you will love this and want to marry it. wait till his FULL LENGTH drops!!!
2. Dead Times- Black Pine Circle
amazing is a word saved for all sorts of things, but not wasted when used on this particular work. after making a silent, but very deadly entrance (like nerve gas) with their first two free downloads, they are setting the stage to be next year’s mythos with this new EP. I basically feel like it’s a wall of sound with a moat built around it. think Justin Timberlake mixed with Blood Brothers and you would be getting close…..
I should also mention a long overdue but not off handed post about Crash Overdrive’s EP “Retake The Streets” that dropped last month and is ideally infecting dancefloors and blogs all over like he normally does, but I have been fending off abject poverty and introductions to insanity on regs. it’s good to know that even if I am out of my mind in the barren wastes somewhere, the b.e.a.r. group still drops records pretty much on schedule. pretty soon I’ll get the semblance of mind to do proper in-house press! Anyway, Crash’s record is out there and banging, so bang it like something you would bang. You know what time it is…
We have all sorts of other new news, but I’m too burnt out to type more today. I’m going to go drink coffee and write some more songs for Trunk Bomb AKA “the album that will single-handedly finance our label” before going to sleep out of sheer neurosis. merry x-mas.
(oh yeah, here is a remix I did for that Les Gourmets free record Deb posted here a couple weeks ago…)
Les Gourmets w/Young Blaze-Infernal (tech disaster version)
and for the holidays, here is a leak from trunk bomb for you crev-wavers: the demo version
for a track called sunset-midset and I made the beat…..
this is the trailer for the freight-themed graf video series my homeboy Maintane puts out. they usually have all kinds of cool shit in them like interviews, short films, music videos, etc. but this round is STRICTLY freight pics and footage.
as you can see, it features a lot of music from our lil family here.
Maintane also does some fresh screenprinting so make sure you check it out.
