first of all, make sure you watch the UNISON video below this post because it is indeed every bit as awesome as has been implied by people all over the internet.
now back to our regularly scheduled program ….
so, since it has apparently been removed from youtube by the Men In Black, i can’t post the overnight-infamous Sprite BJ commercial that all the kids are talking about. but you can still watch it on ol’ Perez Hilton Dot Com (i wonder who HE had to blow to keep it up there). seeing as how everyone at Briefcase was probably expecting ME to post the video anyway, i figured i would do a follow-up. there is all kinds of press about it on the internet if you care, but i felt like it at least deserved a blip on here because it is definitely “crev business” no matter what the true hollywood story behind it all is.
for those of you who prefer your soda ads a little more tame, here is a sweet flashback featuring an artist with a name that is semi-ironic for this post:
since the nickel does everything else on this webpage, I figured that I should post this one unless someone already beat me to it! former matte blacks UNISON have just made an exodus to our hallowed halls at briefcase rockers research and development and in celebration of this, I decided to post the first inter-crew multimedia exchange. here is the video for their ridiculous instant classic entitled Outside, directed by man of many coats Robby Massey!!!!!
your boy is playing a big ass rave with an ableton set of all new tunes, the deadline is forcing me complete a grip of tunes for bear so…cool. got one free ticket if any of yous is in the area. also tyring to buy a shack in the poorest neighborhood in canada with the highest aids rate per capita than anywhere in north america. coolest thing is Jimi Hendrix used to live a block away with his grandmoms!
while living my life by the day just like mr. lif on the music video that i posted on a previous blog, i’ve been switching myself into crev mode, after been invited to do a dj set at a private party so during the week i was download the whole collection of material for the briefcase rockers website to do a showcase for the fam
while arriving there the party turn out to be a music exhibition as so many different genres which is very rare to see these days in london especially in the underground music scene, while setting up my ttm-57 to the decks i played the introduction from subtitle how2beat_the beat03 which was explaining who’re briefcase rockers that we’re a crew / family & virus and then started showcasing material from the crew then killed off the last hour with a mix starting out with sample as when subtitle called me the Al Green of the glitch ish
the night was really good as i was talking to many different beat makers and letting them know where to download our stuff as well as the leaders comp which is coming out, now i am going to head back home and make another (no rest for the wicked)
why so glum, kitten? i know things have been tough. but i also know you read this blog so i wanted to send you a personal message for all to see: you should just call me next time things hit rock bottom. is it the drugs again? remember when i told you to control the drugs, and not let them control YOU? i know, i know. i can’t really talk since you took the charge when we got pulled with that ounce of kush, but i told you i would always be there for you, and i mean it. you didn’t have to call the cops this time, if you needed a ride i would have given you one, and if you just needed someone to hold you, i would have done that, too. i thought i taught you to never trust a cop? now everyone is talking about this. you should take advantage of a friend like me while i am still pretty much below the radar. pretty soon it’s going to be “paparazzi this” and “omg, it’s huevos!!” that … and then it’s going to be even harder to keep our love a secret. i mean, what is “love” really? in this case, i think it means that you can count on me. and you need more people like that in your life. if you still have that place in paris, maybe we can link up this fall, i’ll be back in europe and it would be great to see you.
